The Bulgarian Pickleball Federation was established in 2022 as a non-profit association in the city of Sofia and is a member of the European Pickleball Federation.

Main objectives of the federation:
- Distribution, development and confirmation of pickleball as a sport on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as in Europe and the world;
- supporting the goals, ideals and principles of the Olympic Movement and ensuring the inclusion of pickleball in the program of the Olympic Games;
- promoting and affirming the active and healthy lifestyle, physical culture, sports ideals and rules for fair play by supporting the creation of a network of pickleball sports clubs to provide opportunities for children and adults to practice this sport;
- creation of the necessary conditions for systematic practice of physical exercises and sports, and in particular – pickleball;
- implementation of sports and educational functions and integration into the sport of pickleball of different age and social groups and individuals, regardless of their race, nationality, ethnicity, gender, origin, religion, education, beliefs, political affiliation, personal and social status or property status;
- approval at the national level of the rules for practicing pickleball in accordance with the norms of the international pickleball federation;
- encouraging and creating contacts and friendly relations between the member clubs, other Bulgarian and international associations and organizations based on the sport of pickleball, their leaders and players.
Bulgarian Pickleball Federation performs all administrative functions related to the regulation of pickleball in Bulgaria.
In just one year since it was founded, the Bulgarian Pickleball Federation laid the foundations of pickleball in 3 regions, 3 municipalities and 15 settlements in Bulgaria! The first permanent pickleball courts in the city of Sofia were also opened, which are open all day for all residents of the capital. New and new fields continue to be opened all over Bulgaria, and inquiries and great interest in pickleball from municipalities throughout the country continue to grow more and more.
